“We've enjoyed having Yoga Tales at our preschool. The children love it! ... the three and four year olds are able to truly experience the benefit of yoga...”

Leslie Slan, Director, Har Shalom Early Childhood Development Center

Yoga Tales classes are designed to strengthen character.

Our fantastic new Character Education Program, “What I like about me!” reinforces a sense of awareness and a thoughtful attitude in children, on and off the yoga mat. Each month we focus on a different theme, such as self-esteem, truthfulness or patience, exploring these concepts through personal examples, and helping students to begin shaping a lifelong value system.

We offer several types of classes for your school or camp:
Kids Yoga: This yoga class, for children ages 3+; use stories, music and games to engage yoginis in healthful movement and help them grow stronger and more flexible. We also teach balancing and relaxation techniques that help reduce stress, increase concentration and improve mental acuity.

Sports Yoga: In this class each yogini will learn how to incorporate yoga into their game of choice: soccer, tennis, baseball, basketball, golf, etc. to improve their overall game skills. This class will concentrate on yoga breathing techniques to increase stamina and concentration along with challenging stretches that will improve strength, balance and flexibility.

Tween & Teen Yoga: Yoga Tales offers classes for older kids that focus on the many issues that teens and tweens face in their lives. These kids' innate agility allows us to practice a deeper level of yoga. This class helps to promote self confidence, self-worth and a positive body image, while providing stress management techniques to ward off teen depression and help kids survive the teen years. Special activities such as journaling, aromatherapy, acupressure, meditation and visualization, are practiced in an environment that is conducive to open and candid discussions about the subjects that matter to tween and teens.

We know that the parents of your students expect you and your staff to offer quality activities that are good for their kids, so I hope that you’ll consider adding a Yoga Tales enrichment class to your programs.

Mobile In Schools
We’ve successfully taken Yoga Tales to 11 schools, doctor’s offices and childcare programs over the last year, including Sidwell Friends Summer Camp, The Spinal Rehab Center and the JCC of Greater Washington. Yoga Tales students delighted in using their imaginations to travel to faraway places, become different animals, and help Yoga Tales create new stories and new poses of their own.

Yoga Tales is a wonderful way for children ages 3-18 to exercise their bodies, express themselves and learn to manage stress, and a great way for you to provide a unique offering that will help set your program apart from other childcare facilities. Unlike other yoga programs, each 45-minute Yoga Tales class uses stories to teach kids yoga, incorporating music, toys, creative expression and carefully- supervised, age-appropriate yoga movements. A Yoga Tales teacher will bring the music, mats, eye pillows, blankets and props required to teach a fun and educational class. The kids have a great time, and remain calm, focused and alert long after the class has ended. Yoga Tales is an entertaining, educational activity that children of all ages can enjoy. Yoga Tales is designed to:
